Biography

Ed has been living in the Niagara area for over a decade, and is currently residing in St Catharines. Recently retired from his day job, he is now dedicated to his first passion which is, and has always pretty much been, music. Ed is a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist who performs at various local venues as a solo artist, and as one half of the acoustic/electric duo “Strings Attached” with local guitarist/mandolin player Wayne Hosick.

Ed''s newest project is with vocalist sisters Sue Robins and Debbie Murray, and bassist Ernie Jodoin in the acoustic classic rock band “This Time Around” The group is also rounded out by the addition of drummer/percussionist Bob Hewer and the aforementioned Mr. Wayne Hosick.

Ed has previously released a CD of original music titled “Icarus Has Fallen”, an album of eclectic (and somewhat electric) retro 70's style rock - but with some interesting contemporary twists. It is available to purchase at CD Baby, or on iTunes.  Ed's major influences are derived from the many classic rock styles of the 60s and 70s, but always with a melodic, acoustic sensibility.

He is currently writing songs for his second CD, and has also entered a song in the Niagara Music Awards titled “Take me Dancing”, which will eventually appear on the second CD once it is properly recorded and produced. While his previous original material showcased more hard-edged songwriting skills, his current original material shows a mellower and more personal.writing style.

Ed is available as a solo performer, or in conjunction with other musicians to suit whatever style is appropriate to your venue.
